Restaurant review: ORIGINAL JOE’S, San Jose

Restaurant review: ORIGINAL JOE’S, San Jose

original-joes-blog

Original Joe's: a firmly established local eatery dealing in fine Italian foods which came highly recommended by the locals. In fact, I asked four different San Jose residents where I would find the best nosh in town and the vote was unanimous.

As soon as I set foot through the door the friendly hustle and bustle for which Original Joe's is renowned was discernible. It was only 5pm yet almost every booth was already full of what appeared to be happy and satisfied customers.

I sat myself on one of the bar stools right next to the open kitchen. I wanted to see the masters at work!

I grabbed a menu and spent a good quarter of an hour agonising over the wide array of mouth-watering dishes on offer: Veal Parmigiana, Chicken Cacciatora, Spaghetti Napoletana, Baby Back Ribs to name just a few. I settled on an Italian staple, pasta, with pesto and pine nuts and I set to work.

That's one classy lady right there.

And now to the main event. My video review of Original Joe's with up close and personal interviews with staff and customers.  Prepare to get very, very hungry.

Ginger Warrior, over and out.

  1. So. Can we make a detour so I can go when I’m over

  2. Portions of everything are always massive in the USA. I brought a beaker home with me last year from a diner………the very nice chap there let me have it as I said nobody would believe me otherwise. It was the smallest serving of diet coke they did………TWO PINTS!!!! The amount of people who had the large full fat version with free refills was amazing.
