Just back from the Big Apple!

Just back from the Big Apple!

Central-Park

I'm back, Warriors! Did you miss me??

'Cause I sure as heck missed you!

We landed this morning (Sunday) at 0730 after catching the red-eye from JFK to LHR. Craigy Boy wisely opted to stay awake the whole day to try and get back into a regular sleep pattern asap.  Me, on the other hand, well I thought I would have a cheeky little powernap and ended up being out for the count for seven hours solid. OOPSIES, I may be paying for that this evening!  The good thing is that I now have another two weeks of downtime before school starts which I'm sure will give me sufficient time to overcome any residual jet lag.

We had a truly WONDERFUL, busy and fun-filled nine days over The Pond. We took in some amazing sights, met fabulous people from all over the world and rode the Carb Express each and every day.  (My poor stomach has been protesting and I feel some kind of intense cleanse/detox is in order).

I have soooo much to tell you and to show you and am mightily excited to share our adventure with you! I have therefore decided that I will dedicate this week's blog posts to our trip and will regale you all with stories, pictures, reviews and gratuitous video footage including Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, Ellen's Stardust Diner and, of course, my attempt to wrestle Hulk Hogan to the ground!  You don't want to miss that one!

Anyhoo, to get you started and in the New York state of mind (Billy Joel reference unintentional) here is a very short video of Craigy Boy and I making our way to the Big Apple, flight, yellow cabs and all.

So sit back, relax and thank you for flying with GW airlines.

Ginger Warrior, over and out.

P.S.  I think Virgin Atlantic has to be my favourite airline so far. Loved the food, the staff, the movie selection... Have you got a preference for a particular airline? Have you had any truly awful flight experiences in terms of who you flew with?  I will NEVER, EVER again fly with American Airlines but that is another story for another time.  :)

Share the love!

  2. Hey hon, can’t wait to see the rest of what your trip entailed! I’m off to New York end of May for a whole month with a production of Macbeth, my first time working in the Big Apple, so I’m keen to pick up some city tips from your no doubt comprehensive but fun excursion. X
