Am I looking forward to attending BritMums Live for the second time?
Aren't most red heads covered in freckles???
Maybe not all of them but this one is for sure and I am most definitely looking forward to and highly anticipating the weekend of June 19th!
This year not only will I be wielding my camera in all directions in an attempt to capture the best bits of BritMums Live 2015 but I will also be taking on the role of butterfly which, I believe, is a role to help newbies and returning attendees feel at home during the blogivities which is just like festivities but at a blogging conference. And I make a solemn promise unto you, fellow bloggers and bloggettes that I will endeavour to be the best darn butterfly I can be!
Ceri Davies, a.k.a. The Ginger Warrior or GW
5ft 5. I did used to be 5ft 6 so apparently I’m shrinking. Quite devastating really.
Ginger from day one!
These days there is a little patch of white hairs which keeps cropping up at the crown and which I tear out as soon as they rear their ugly white heads. And no, I don’t believe that old wives’ tale that two or three spring up in their place. Biologically speaking, how would that work exactly??
Baby blues - particularly piercing if I have been crying which I do every now and again. Nothing like a good blubber to cleanse the soul.
IS THIS YOUR FIRST BLOGGING CONFERENCE?
Nope, ’tis my fourth - I managed to squeeze in 3 last year:
1) BritMums Live 2014, which broke me into the blogging conference world and which set the bar high for the events that would follow. How high did BritMums set the bar? THIS high!
2) BlogHer 2014 in San José, California which was, HUGE! Yup, literally thousands of bloggers in attendance and maaaaan was it hot! Never appreciated air conditioning so much in my life. Some seriously great parties went on at that there conference and the swag.. oh the swag!! Susanna even bagged herself a brand new ipad playing the Wheel of Fortune hosted by one of the brands! Filled with hope I went straight after her and won..
..a box of Scrabble.

3) BlogFest 2014, a one day conference in London which, for me, didn’t quite live up to the previous two but that could just be me. Loved meeting up with some of my favourite blogging peeps, however!
ARE YOU ATTENDING BOTH DAYS?
Wouldn’t miss a single second of the action!
WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO?
Apart from the obvious - the incredibly friendly and talented and inspiring people that will be in attendance - I was rather taken by the food last year. I ate a lot of it and plan on doing exactly the same this year and then going on a very long run on Sunday morning to partially compensate.
WHAT ARE YOU WEARING?
Something red at some point I should imagine, perhaps some skinny jeans and wedges? I notice that many other bloggers have admonished: “make sure you wear comfortable shoes”. I say high heels and wedges all the way! A straight spine and bunion free feet are for sissies.
Also, I’ve noticed on Twitter that people have been asking about the awards ceremony and what one should wear. One should, first and foremost, wear what she/he feels most comfortable in. I, for one, plan on wearing a nice dress. Maybe this little red number that I wore to a wedding last week:
They don’t let me out very often so I feel I must take advantage of any opportunity I have to get my glad rags on. Oh, and I’ll be getting a spray tan too. :)
WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO GAIN FROM BRITMUMS LIVE 2015?
Well, I’ll probably gain some weight because, as I mentioned previously, I plan on stuffing my face unashamedly. And some new friends, that would be a lovely thing to gain too. We could stuff our faces unashamedly together.
DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS TO PASS ONTO OTHERS WHO MAY NOT HAVE BEEN BEFORE?
If you’re approached by a loud and excitable Scottish lady waving a camera in your face, don’t be shy or bashful or scared. She is very harmless and just wishes to capture the amazing ambiance and vibrance of BritMums live and you are an important part of that!
Other than that the greatest piece of advice I can give is, and this is the motto by which I live my own life,
JUST BE YOURSELF.
