Costa Rica: Flora and Fauna

Costa Rica: Flora and Fauna

This is the only pic on this page that I didn't take. I sooo wanted to see one of these frogs but it wasn't meant to be. Next time, Warriors!

Due to massive technical hitches and a Ginger Warrior on the verge of losing it and declaring war upon all things computerised, today's post will be a series of beautiful images rather than a descriptive travelogue.  Sometimes you just need to know when to quit and tonight is that night: it is now midnight and having already spent several hours battling with computer crashes, accidentally deleted images and corrupt files I must concede defeat.

The truth of the matter my Warrior friends, is that Costa Rica is one of those countries whose stunning and varied landscapes and abundance of exquisite flora and flora need no accompanying words.

I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I did taking them.  It sure is a beautiful world out there.

Ginger Warrior, over and out.

P.S.  Don't forget that you can click on the pictures to make them bigger and it will also bring up a caption beneath them.

The beach at Tamarindo - a surfer's paradise!

Lush vegetation at every turn

Cute and colourful critters!

You can only get to Tortuguero by boat

Not as scary as you might think!  He was actually very docile and let me stroke his leg.

This 5 hour journey through lush, tropical rainforests was the highlight of my trip. Even if I did look like a lobster that night. And yes, mum, I did put on suncream. But obviously not quite enough..

We spotted many animals as we made our way along the river but the sloths were my my favourite!

But I loved the monkeys too!
