Greetings Warriors of the World! This fine and chilly day I’m giving you a brief update on how I’m progressing with my sugar free journey. My FIVE fave ways to keep fit!

I came into this world bounding with fizz and energy which probably explains why, from a young age, my exhausted parents packed me off to as many clubs and activities as time and money would allow! Dancing, swimming club, gymnastics, Brownies, netball, badminton, plays schemes during the school holidays… The hope was that my energy levels would be sufficiently depleted to allow for a slightly quieter life at home! (Didn’t work by the way). Fast forward three decades and the duracell bunny that is the Ginger Warriors is still going strong! The only difference is that it’s now Craigy Boy who packs me off to my clubs and activities! Fitness plays a HUGE role in my life and on a daily basis. I usually do two hours of physical activity a day apart from a Sunday which is my rest day and allows my battered body to recover and repair. My name is Ceri Davies and I am a sugar addict. And I have been for as long as I can remember. As a child I used to wait until my mum was upstairs and I would raid the biscuit tin, shovelling them into my mouth at breakneck speed before she came back down. Sometimes I would even mix icing sugar with butter and eat it straight with a spoon  Bet you didn’t know that, did you mum? I also bet you’re not surprised. At school they sold incredibly chocolatey moist bars of tiffin at lunchtime and I would beg and borrow (not steal) money from my chums to get my fix. And I wouldn’t just eat one. I’d eat two or three. And I never felt sick. I suppose my body was so used to elevated levels of sugar. It had already been in training for years by this point.
