I’m selling my house ONLINE with Emoov!

I’m selling my house ONLINE with Emoov!

On December 17th, 2007 (or thereabouts) I became the proud owner of my very first home. It was a beautiful moment, I tell ya, and Top Foor Flat, 23 Balmoral Road in Northampton has has kept me safe, warm, dry and very happy over the years – the perfect first time buy. To tell you the truth, it was a little bit out of my budget at the time – I had decided that £130,000 was as high as I could go and consequently was only viewing properties in that price bracket. Then Kate, the lovely estate agent from Right Move who was patiently taking me from one flat viewing to the next, said that she knew of a property that had just come up for sale and she urged me to book an appointment to see it, even though it was slightly over my pre-determined budget. “I just have a feeling”, she insisted. Restaurant Review: Bill’s

Restaurant Review: Bill’s

As you know, Warriors, Mummy and Daddy Ginger Warrior came to visit me a couple of weeks ago. And as you know, since you have doubtlessly read THIS little blog post recounting the few lovely days I was in their company, Sandra and I spent a delightful morning meandering through the charming streets of Oxford. When it came to sourcing an excellent eatery for our ladies lunch my mum slipped down a side street and before I had even realised she had gone (she’s pretty stealthy that one) she was back enthusiastically insisting she had found the perfect establishment.  Share the...
When Mum and Dad came to stay

When Mum and Dad came to stay

I don’t get to see Mummy Sandra and Daddy Gordon all that often what with them living in the land of kilts, haggis and Irn Bru and me residing South of the border, so it was jolly lovely to have them stay with me and Craigy Boy for a few days this last week. I must say, however, that it wasn’t entirely a social visit: Gordon, being the wonderful, kind and handy Dad that he always has been and continues to be had come to sort out my back garden, or should I say the overgrown, weed-infested jungle that once was my garden. I bake, I run, I talk (a lot), I blog (less than I ought to!) I but I just don’t do gardens. Nothing green about these freckly fingers! Share the...
Tilly Mae’s FROZEN birthday cake!

Tilly Mae’s FROZEN birthday cake!

Two years ago, for TM’s 1st birthday, I decided to attempt my first ever fondant cake. It was laborious, it was stressful and tears were shed. But the hard work and steep learning curve were worth it because I ended up creating this psychedelic little beauty. However, I swore there and then that I’d be taking a wide berth from working with fondant and for Tilly Mae’s 2nd b’day I remained true to my word: I didn’t go near the stuff!! In fact, I don’t even think I made her a cake last year! Share the...
