Merry Christmas from me and Craigy Boy

Merry Christmas from me and Craigy Boy

Craigy Boy and I just wanted to wish you a very, very Merry Christmas before the big day arrives and we all succumb to the inevitability that is the food and drink coma. Did you manage to get everything done in time?? I’ve just put the finishing touches to my chocolate log and am relieved it turned out rather well after I had to throw the first attempt in the bin!  Share the...
Members of my local community that I love!

Members of my local community that I love!

I first came to Brackley in September 2004 when I accepted a job as a Spanish and French teacher at the local high school, Magdalen College School. Through my activities in the school, the Spanish evening classes I ran and my hot and sweaty Zumba sessions I soon became involved in the local community and it wasn’t long before this Scottish lass looked upon Brackley as home. I adore the town itself – it’s a tranquil, historical market town and, in my opinion, pretty as a picture. But most of all I love the sense of the community and the kind, generous and giving people that come together to create that community. That is why today, in the festive spirit of gratitude and thanksgiving I wanted to recognise some people in the local community. My relationship with most of these individuals began as one of  business in nature – they had a product or service to offer and I was a paying customer. But as the years have passed they have extended the arm of support and encouragement in one way or another and, as such, they are more than simple business associates – they are my friends. What are your Christmas plans?

What are your Christmas plans?

Today, Warriors of the World, not only am I feeling of the Christmas spirit but I’m feeling rather nosy too! And that is why today I wanted to ask you what your plans are over this season of peace and goodwill to all men (women, children and animals). Now, I would never ask you something that I wouldn’t be prepared to share myself so with that in mind, allow me to tell you what Craigy and are doing over the festivities! It’s a little bit different for us this year in that it’s the first time in our five years together that we’re not spending Christmas Day with my family in Scotland. Craigy Boy’s on duty on Christmas day (THIS is what he does for a living) and so we’re spending our very first Christmas just the two of us. Now everybody say AAAWWWW!! Share the...
